Roscoe Celebrates His 14th Adoptoversary!
Last week, Roscoe and I celebrated his 14th Adoptaversary! On December 1, 2003, after having seen him on PetFinder and doing a meet-and-greet, I picked him up at JSAC, and we took to the road, as I was relocating from Point Pleasant to Verona, NJ. At the time, I was told he was 2-3 years old. We spent 11 years in Northern NJ, where he enjoyed greeting every neighbor in our apartment complex from the bedroom window, and occasionally going outside (supervised!) to climb trees and stretch out in the sun. In 2014 we moved south to Cape Coral, Florida, and he now has a house with many beds to lounge in, a fenced yard to patrol (one of his many nicknames is The Warden), and a cockatiel brother named Grayson. My 9 year old niece loves reading her books to him, he has sleepovers with his “cousin” Louie the dog, and his neighbor dog friends come to visit and hang with him in the yard. He continues to put a smile on my face daily, and I’m proud to be his human mom!! THANK YOU, JSAC!!!!!
