Eve’s Adoption, February 6, 2021
We adopted Eve on Saturday, February 6th.
Well, our first night with Eve, we fixed up the office with all of her essentials: litter box, food and water, bed, toys, night light, low music playing and scratch board. We closed her in the office and she seemed to be hiding here and there for the most of the time.
However, at 3:15am Sunday, we felt little feet on our bed, which is on the other side of the house. Eve succeeded in clawing the rug to a point of getting her paws under the door and somehow opened the door. We have now renamed her Houdini!
It hardly took her three days before she had the run of the house. She still hasn’t been introduced into the laundry room or the spare bedroom (too many places to hide in those rooms) but by sometime next week, she will be queen of the entire castle. She is affectionate and loving but she still does not like to be picked up. We pity the Vet during her visit this coming Monday.
She is a wonderful addition to our family. We haven’t gotten her opinion in writing yet, but she seems to be happy with us too.
