Harley is from a NJ shelter where she had not had one application on her in the months she has been there.  Her story is a sad one and we are hoping a change in scenery will find her a new home.  Shes a super sweet loving senior!  Harley is 9 years old, 55 lbs. How truly sad to surrender a lifelong family pet…with no legitimate reason. She doesn’t like other dogs so it has been more difficult find her.a home. She is a great dog with adults and kids over 10. Harley has plenty of spunk. She is strong girl and will pull on the leash but we are working on that.  Please consider adopting sweet Harley, she deserves a family.

Update 4-1-19

It is with the most heaviest of hearts that we report to our faithful followers and supporters that our sweet Harley is back with us again, through no fault of her own.

Sadly, the woman who adopted her had too many issues and was not able to care for Harley the way in which Harley deserves.  It is a long and sad story which had us all here completely stunned and heartbroken.
Has Harleys spirit been broken?  Maybe, but she sure doesn’t show it.  That’s an amazing quality about dogs….resilience and forgiveness!  Her eyes light up and that tail wags hard when she knows she is going outside or getting to spend the day in our front office.  That grey muzzled face will melt your heart.
Now 11 years young, Harley does need a home where she will be the only pet, the center of your world.  She doesn’t require too much, a fenced in yard would be great…she would run outside to do her business, then come back for in some toy time and relaxation!!  She is a senior and does like to go potty often.  She is quite strong and will pull on the leash a bit.

Do you have fostering under 20 lb if you do I’d be interested in doing that to get them out of the shelter and make room for one more.

Hi Kathleen, thank you for asking about fostering. At this time we do not have a foster program, but are in the beginning stages of implenting one. Please keep a look out for the new program.
